Sanatan seekers Tortured & Harassed by NIA Officials

   Mangaluru (Karnataka) - National Investigating Agency (NIA) officials started interrogating Sanatan’s seekers Mr. Vinod Kamat, Mr. Umesh Shenoy, Mr. Shanmugan, Mr. Timappa, Mr. Vinaykumar and Mr. Udaykumar from 5th February 2012 onwards in connection with the Madgaon (Goa) bomb blast case.    Mr. Kamat and Mr. Shenoy have been interrogated by NIA teams earlier on a number of occasions in the Ashram here; yet, Mr. Seturam and Mr. Manu (NIA officials) keep calling them at any odd hours for investigations.   Under the guise of inquiry, these NIA officials are, in fact, torturing & harassing these seekers.On 21st February 2012, these NIA officials called Mr. Vinay and Mr. Uday for interrogation and under this guise, they completely disrobed the seekers, pulled their hair, and thrashed and kicked them brutally.   The behaviour of these two NIA officials - Mr. Seturam and Mr. Manu - would put even terrorists and criminals to shame.   They sent Policemen to the house of these seekers and took away their driving license, Voter identity cards, ‘Adhar’ cards, marriage album, ration cards, school certificates etc. without giving any receipt or acknowledgement of any kind to them.   (In an independent Bharat, NIA has acted in a manner that would put even rogues and terrorists to shame.   It is very unfortunate that such an attack on the freedom of citizens in an independent Bharat has taken place, as it used to be in the Mughal regime.   Would these officers dare to behave in a similar manner with a Jihadi terrorist ? - Editor)
